【2003 Archives】

In the third episode of Netflix's Survival of the Thickest003 Archives protagonist Mavis (played by Michelle Buteau) has a sticky situation when her gum gets stuck to a date's pubic hair.
Mortifying, yes, but also a real-life scenario. Mavis and her hookup Luca (Marouane Zotti) solve the problem with peanut butter and ice — as it turns out, is not a bad way to do it.
To get chewing gum out of hair (pubic or otherwise), you can use peanut butter or oil, said dermatologist and writer at My Psoriasis Team, Dr. Patricia Gaile Espinosa. Virgin coconut oil, mineral oil, olive oil, or vegetable oil are good options; there's oil in peanut butter as well, which is apparent if you've ever used natural peanut butter and seen oil rise to the top of the jar.

Oily substances help stiffen gum, Espinosa explained. Apply the PB or oil all over the gum and wait a few minutes to let the gum harden. Once it stiffens, it's much easier to remove from hair.
